Security Professionals and Partners Gather for Technology Training at RSA® TechFest 2010
Discussions Focused on Best Practices and Skills Needed To Win Business

Burlington, MA – RSA TechFest, July 19— Reflecting the increasing demand for security solutions, services and industry expertise, a record number of technical security professionals are expected to attend RSA® Techfest 2010 July 20-23 and July 27-30 at the Burlington Marriot in Burlington, MA. Hosted by RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC), this 14th annual event is expected to attract more than 400 professionals in Sales Engineering, Professional Services and other technical positions from RSA and its Channel Partner organizations.

RSA TechFest Programs and Sessions

RSA TechFest 2010 kicks off with a meet and greet where attendees can bring questions to and interact with RSA representatives from a number of different functions including Engineering, Customer Support, RSA's Executive Briefing Center, and the RSA Critical Incident Response Center. The event will also feature more than 50 sessions showcasing use cases, competitive differentiators and business benefits that range from introductory talks to deep dives technology and products.

These sessions include:

  • Forming the RSA® Authentication Hub
  • DLP Proof of Concept Fundamentals and Field Lessons Learned 2010
  • RSA enVision® Lessons Learned
  • How to Whiteboard an IPV Solution
  • The Business Value of VMware® Virtualization

In addition to workshops, the RSA TechFest program will include keynotes from Art Coviello, president, RSA, The Security Division of EMC; Sam Curry, chief technologist, RSA, The Security Division of EMC, Burt Kaliski, senior director, EMC Innovation Network, Mark Thurmond, vice president, Sales, RSA, The Security Division of EMC, and Chris Young, senior vice president, Products, Technologies and Markets, RSA, The Security Division of EMC.

Technical Innovation Challenge

RSA will also be sponsoring the Technical Innovation Challenge, a competition intended to generate and present the best innovative ideas from customer facing technical teams. Past winners of the event have presented an innovative way for distributing soft tokens to BlackBerry® devices that was eventually productized, along with creative ideas for improving customer operations workflows, professional services and customer support.
